The best beaches are those which have to pass a few more qualities than just having a spot of sand with water on it; they usually pass the requirements of a recognized beach authority. The top ten beaches are those which have been ranked by being the top ten beach in some category. Many of these are what you'd probably think of when you're getting ready for spring break, summer, your vacation or weekend, or just a day or two at a beautiful scenic beach.
